Job description

The Amazon Air Process Engineer team focuses on driving process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement to enhance air logistics capabilities. This role involves managing relationships between cost, speed, and service while developing innovative ideas that create value for customers. Candidates will utilize engineering principles to identify and solve process defects, deep dive into data, and implement changes through project management. The position is based in Fort Worth, TX, and emphasizes collaboration and respect within a diverse team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • 2+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools
  • Experience in Logistics, Distribution, or Fulfillment processes
  • Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop labor standards through work measurement
  • Create operational models and planning to support both sort and ramp operations
  • Manage projects from conception to completion
  • Conduct and lead project meetings with Senior and Regional leaders
  • Assess and optimize the processes and equipment used in the facility
  • Evaluate flight schedules to determine operational impacts
  • Calculate ground support equipment needs at regular intervals
  • Plan and design systems that meet business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance
  • Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards
  • Work a flexible schedule, shift, and work area which could include weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Travel domestically up to 10% of the time
