Job description
The Rack Power Engineer role at Google focuses on designing innovative power systems for data center IT equipment. You will be part of a team responsible for developing power conversion specifications and solutions that meet the unique needs of machine learning, compute, and storage platforms. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working on AC/DC and power delivery systems, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in power design.
Responsibilities
- Innovate and design in-rack and data center power conversion specifications and solutions including power supplies and battery backup systems.
- Analyze performance, cost, reliability, and availability trade-offs.
- Build and validate component and system level power simulation models for AC and DC power systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements.
- Lead projects that involve new technologies or new uses of existing technologies.
