Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the development of advanced chip interconnects and protocols, particularly focusing on NVLink technology. The role involves collaborating with various teams to define next-generation communication standards and products. The architect will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial requirements to implementation. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation in chip-to-chip communication.

Requirements

  • You have a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture, design, and verification.
  • Firsthand work experience with innovative ASIC design processes.
  • You have completed and shipped multiple projects and are skilled at processor and I/O architecture.
  • Programming abilities in C++ and Verilog.
  • A self-starter excited to work as part of a small dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Research and craft architecture solutions for chip-to-chip communication, optimizing for performance, area, power, security, and resiliency.
  • Work with other design teams to define interfaces and flows between NVLink blocks and the rest of the chip.
  • Conduct architectural modeling, validation, definition, and documentation.
  • Drive implementation across design, verification, firmware, and software teams.
  • Collaborate with switch teams to define NVLink fabric architecture.
  • Define network configuration and management flows.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
