Job description
NVIDIA is seeking experienced candidates to join their memory system architecture team, which focuses on developing architecture for advanced SOCs used in deep-learning, autonomous vehicles, and gaming. The role requires a creative and autonomous engineer to drive improvements in memory systems. Candidates will work on performance modeling, simulation, and debugging to enhance memory system efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative professionals in the industry.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in SoC or memory system architecture and performance.
- Deep understanding of memory subsystems, including caches, coherence protocols, DDR, and memory controller architecture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, product-oriented, distributed team.
- Exposure or coursework related to digital systems and VLSI design, computer architecture, and C/C++ programming languages.
- Software development experience with C++, Python, and/or Perl, with Verilog or SV/UVM as a plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive development of architecture and micro-architecture to enhance memory systems.
- Perform performance modeling and simulation to improve memory system performance and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain detailed and high-level performance models.
- Analyze benchmarks, application workloads, and performance simulation results to identify tradeoffs in micro-architectural optimizations.
- Debug performance and functional issues using high-level models, RTL simulation, and silicon.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
