This role is a Commercial Banker position within the Digital Technology & Communications Mid-Corporates team, focusing on U.S.-headquartered startup and early-stage software companies. The banker will drive new business development, identify cross-sell opportunities, and deliver client-centric solutions while achieving growth targets. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is essential to provide a holistic client experience. The position requires strong industry insights and the ability to manage complex client relationships effectively.

• 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services
• FINRA 79, 63, and SIE or ability to obtain once on board
• Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and processes
• Demonstrates intermediate to advanced credit skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Masters degree preferred

• Drive new client acquisition across the software sector, focusing on venture-backed companies.
• Build and scale a high-quality book of business by targeting early-stage, high-growth companies.
• Develop and execute outbound business development strategies, including direct client outreach.
• Represent the bank at industry conferences and venture community forums to develop new client relationships.
• Deepen client relationships by proactively addressing their needs and expectations.
• Work with product specialists to structure customized solutions for clients.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities to increase share of wallet.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies.
• Assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup and its clients.
