This role is for a high-impact engineer focused on designing world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems. The position is based in Nashville and involves collaboration with internal and external teams to create cost-effective solutions. The engineer will manage multiple projects from concept to design approval and serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers. The role includes supporting the installation and commissioning of designed systems across North America and Europe.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in management of engineering design projects.
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies.
- Experience with design-in-safety and process design based on Lean Principles.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to design high-quality solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects simultaneously from concept realization through design approval.
- Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers on projects.
- Support the Ops Engineering team during the installation and commissioning of projects.
- Work on a variety of projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
