The Network Deployment Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be responsible for building and scaling Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions as part of the Infrastructure Operations team. This role focuses on enhancing network stability and sustainability while automating and scaling network systems to meet customer demand. The engineer will collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for AWS's vast network infrastructure.

• The candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, or a CCNA or equivalent level networking certification is required.
• 1+ years of technical work experience or a Bachelor's degree in an advanced technical program is necessary.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF, and other routing and switching technologies is essential.
• Experience with network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR is required.

• Communicate project status and blockers clearly to leadership and project management.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and conduct quality assurance activities.
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.
• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Travel within the geographical work area and possibly up to 40% outside the traditional work area.
