Job description

Join a small team of engineers focused on designing and producing precision protocol, RF, and Analog Test Equipment for calibrating and testing various radio technologies in Apple devices. As a Cellular Software Development Engineer, you will develop high-quality software for cellular systems, working collaboratively with a diverse team. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach and continuous improvement to enhance the quality of Apple's products. You will also provide user support for product deployment and development.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree or higher being highly valued.
  • Courses in wireless communications focusing on cellular systems and protocols are a plus.
  • A good understanding of cellular protocol stacks, particularly 5G, is necessary.
  • Software development experience and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python are required.
  • Experience with multi-processing and multi-threading implementations is needed.
  • Experience in developing within distributed service-based software architectures is essential.
  • Good fundamentals in object-oriented software design and test techniques are required.
  • Open to international travel about 10% of the time.
  • 3+ years of industry experience or equivalent is necessary.
  • Recent hands-on development experience in cellular software development is required.
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts in RF systems is needed.
  • Familiarity with the use of Matlab is a plus.
  • Scripting and debugging experience using Python is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality software using modern software engineering techniques and tools.

  • Interface with upper layers and implement lower layers of the cellular stack.
