The Amazon Prime Air team is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to drive innovation in drone delivery systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and collaborative skills to work with top developers and research teams. The engineer will focus on optimizing workflows and scheduling for drone flights to enhance delivery speed and throughput. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience communicating with customers and technical teams to collect requirements

• Develop deep expertise in the drone-delivery workflow and drive optimizations for delivery speed and throughput.
• Design and build scalable, highly available distributed systems that meet performance and reliability standards.
• Drive improvements in code quality and engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborate with PMs and partner teams to define technical requirements and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term fixes to improve system stability.
