As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, ensuring their design, operation, and maintenance meet high standards. You will collaborate with diverse teams to troubleshoot issues, develop innovative solutions, and lead engineering audits. This role emphasizes a mix of office and field work, allowing you to engage directly with data center operations. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of AWS's global infrastructure.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.

• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site and equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex operating procedure reviews.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers.
• Work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits, producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
