The Customer Engineer for Data Analytics at Google Cloud focuses on supporting startup customers by leveraging cloud computing solutions. This role involves collaborating with sales teams to address technical challenges and deliver tailored cloud solutions. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert in data analytics, helping clients understand the capabilities of Google Cloud. The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience as a sales engineer or technical consultant in a cloud computing environment or in a customer-facing role.
- Experience working with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Responsibilities
- Support local sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
- Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements.
- Manage technical projects, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, and product and solution briefings.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments.
- Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition.
