The Product Data Scientist for YouTube Shorts Growth will be part of the YouTube Data Science team, which influences product and engineering leadership. This role focuses on improving decision-making at YouTube through strategic analysis, user funnel analysis, and experimental design. The team works on projects that are central to YouTube's business success and provides insights that drive product changes. The ideal candidate will engage with stakeholders to clarify business questions and leverage data to inform strategic decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 2 years of work experience with a Master's degree.
• Experience with running experiments or experimental design.

• Engage with stakeholders across cross-functional projects to identify and clarify business or product questions.
• Leverage custom data infrastructure or existing data models to design and evaluate models that solve defined problems.
• Work with engineering and product teams to create new metrics and drive data-driven decision making.
• Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources using relevant tools.
• Support launch decisions through experimental design and analysis.
