Job description

The Senior Director, Global Analyst and External Relations will lead Bain & Company's global analyst engagement function, reporting to the Executive Vice President of External Relations. This role involves defining and executing the firm's analyst engagement strategy while building relationships with leading industry analysts. The position is critical for enhancing Bain's market credibility and supporting commercial growth, particularly in Technology, AI, and Digital capabilities. The successful candidate will also manage a dedicated offshore Analyst Relations delivery team.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of analyst relations experience within technology, professional services, or consulting.
  • Significant experience leading an analyst relations function.
  • Demonstrated success improving organizational performance in major analyst evaluations.
  • Strong, current personal relationships with senior analysts at Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential analyst organizations.
  • Deep understanding of analyst firm methodologies, evaluation criteria, and research calendars.
  • Proven ability to develop analyst relations strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Bain's global analyst engagement strategy across priority capabilities and industries.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with leading analysts at Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential firms.
  • Advise Partners, Expert Partners, and senior practice leaders on analyst engagement strategies.
  • Own Bain's strategy for analyst evaluations, driving stronger positioning and improved outcomes.
  • Establish and lead a high-performing offshore Analyst Relations delivery team.
  • Design and oversee the firm's analyst evaluation operating model.
  • Partner with Marketing, Business Development, and Public Relations teams to maximize commercial impact.
  • Continue building Bain's Analyst Relations Center of Excellence through scalable tools and best practices.
  • Deliver market and competitive intelligence gathered through analyst relationships.
  • Create a centralized client reference program to improve readiness for major analyst evaluations.
  • Represent Bain at flagship analyst conferences and industry events.
  • Manage analyst relations budgets, subscriptions, and investment planning.
