Job description

The Expert Senior Associate Consultant in the Technology Insights Group at Bain & Company will work with leading Private Equity investors and their tech-enabled portfolio companies. This role focuses on conducting technology due diligence and value creation assignments, leveraging expertise in software and understanding commercial environments. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of technologists and gain exposure to high-level executives. Candidates will contribute to strategic projects that shape technology's impact on businesses.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a software or technology-related position or industry.
  • Technical due diligence experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb and interpret technical information.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional agility.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree from a top tier university in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technology due diligence and value creation workstreams for PE investors targeting software businesses.
  • Contribute across the entire client engagement, from formulating the project scope to building and presenting the final report.
  • Drive and support primary and secondary research efforts, collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Conduct hypothesis-led problem solving and communicate complex ideas strategically.
  • Develop and communicate recommendations and insights to project teams and technology leaders.
  • Invest in special initiatives and projects that help scale the practice.
