This role involves owning the extraction and evaluation architecture for a multi-stage AI pipeline that processes unstructured contracts and invoices into structured compliance findings. The individual will be the primary technical contributor on the Contract AI platform, tackling complex engineering challenges and mentoring other engineers. The focus is on advancing reasoning capabilities and ensuring high code quality and performance. The position requires a blend of hands-on coding and leadership in a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong portfolio of production systems architected and shipped.
- Expert-level Python skills, including application development, async patterns, type-checking, and testing frameworks.
- Strong C#/.NET experience, including OOP design and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks in shipped production systems.
- Deep knowledge of the Azure platform, including AKS, Azure Functions, and CosmosDB.
- Experience with distributed system design, including microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with document understanding technologies such as vision LLMs and OCR.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions effectively in writing and during technical reviews.
Responsibilities
- Own the extraction model architecture and compliance evaluation logic.
- Lead the development of agentic workflows for contract analysis using frameworks like LangGraph.
- Set technical standards for code quality and architecture reviews.
- Mentor Senior Software Engineers and drive accuracy metrics across compliance case categories.
- Contribute to the full stack by writing Python and C# in production and assisting with the React/TypeScript analytics dashboard.
- Accelerate client deployments by building reusable extractor and evaluator templates.
- Continuously evaluate emerging agentic frameworks and propose high-value capabilities.
