Job description

The role is part of the FIX Connectivity team at Goldman Sachs, which focuses on the technical enablement of Electronic Trading. This client-facing engineering group is responsible for the end-to-end technical onboarding of clients to trade global markets using the FIX Protocol. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and involves managing client-specific customizations and providing expert-level connectivity support. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency in a fast-paced trading environment.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the FIX Protocol and electronic trading workflows.
  • Strong experience in UNIX/Linux environments and proficiency in SQL and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP and firewalls.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a client-first mentality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical onboarding process for a diverse range of clients.
  • Conduct FIX certification testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate the setup and troubleshooting of network paths and firewalls.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for various stakeholders.
  • Provide Level 2 support for client connectivity platform issues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding experience through automation.
  • Manage the deployment of client-specific configurations in a high-availability environment.
