The Senior Data Scientist for Google Maps Growth will focus on driving positive user and business outcomes through data-driven decision making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategies and enhance data science capabilities. The individual will leverage their expertise in analytics and statistical analysis to optimize user journeys and influence product strategy. The position is based in either Mountain View, CA, or New York, NY.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 5 years with a Master's degree.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead Product Data Science for Reach Growth as a counterpart to a cross-functional team.
- Enforce measurement frameworks, own experimentation, and conduct in-depth investigations to understand trends and steer product strategy.
- Identify and quantify opportunities to optimize key geospatial user journeys by performing logs-based analyses and running experiments.
- Model cross-Product Area user journeys and conduct analyses on evolving engagement dynamics.
- Define and implement success metrics frameworks to enable cross-Product Area decision-making and measure the impact of new growth integrations.
