Job description
KLA is seeking a highly motivated Senior Algorithm Engineer to join the Surfscan division, focusing on developing advanced algorithms for wafer inspection solutions. This role involves collaboration with a team dedicated to creating innovative image and signal processing algorithms. The engineer will work on the entire life cycle of algorithms, from modeling to implementation and user support. The position requires strong communication skills for effective interaction with a global team.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with strong experience in algorithm development is preferred.
- Proven innovative track record in algorithm development, including image segmentation, texture analysis, and machine learning.
- C/C++ and Matlab/Python programming skills are essential.
- Experience with CPU optimization (SSE/AVX) and GPU programming (CUDA) is highly desired.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Develop image, signal processing, and artificial intelligence algorithms for optical inspection and metrology systems.
- Cover the entire life cycle of algorithms, including modeling, proof-of-concept design, and production software design.
- Characterize performance and provide documentation and user support for the algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototyping and testing of algorithms.
