Job description
The role involves designing and prototyping the next generation of broadband plasma wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies. The position is part of KLA's Global Products Group, specifically within the Broadband Plasma Division, which focuses on advanced optical inspection systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The team collaborates closely with core suppliers and various engineering disciplines to ensure product quality and performance. This position is critical for sustaining current product lines while innovating for future technologies.
Requirements
- Doctorate or a Master's Level Degree with 2 years of work experience, or a Bachelor's Level Degree with 3 years of work experience.
- Experience in CAD modeling, with Cero experience preferred.
- Knowledge of precision mechanism development including actuator selection and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with CAE tools for thermal and structural simulation, with ANSYS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes for broadband plasma wafer inspection assemblies.
- Collaborate with core suppliers for product development.
- Sustain existing broadband plasma product lines in conjunction with the manufacturing division.
- Work with system, optical, electrical, and software engineers to derive subsystem requirements and conduct design reviews.
- Qualify and release mechanism designs and provide support for onsite manufacturing.
