Job description
The Board-Level Quality and Reliability Engineer is tasked with ensuring the quality and reliability of advanced semiconductor products throughout their lifecycle. This role involves providing technical leadership in reliability assessment, failure analysis, and qualification methodology development. The engineer will collaborate closely with various teams, including product development and manufacturing, while also engaging with industry standards organizations like JEDEC. The position emphasizes the importance of reliability strategy development and risk management in semiconductor packaging.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field with 3+ years of industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 1+ years of experience.
- Experience in semiconductor package, board-level, or electronic system reliability.
- Knowledge of reliability qualification methodologies including thermal cycling and mechanical shock.
- Understanding of solder interconnect reliability and PCB technologies.
- Familiarity with reliability statistics and data analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Develop qualification plans covering various reliability tests.
- Establish reliability requirements and acceptance criteria based on market needs.
- Lead risk assessments using methodologies like FMEA and fault tree analysis.
- Conduct complex reliability investigations and root-cause analyses.
- Represent the company within industry standards organizations and contribute to committees.
