Job description

The Operations Engineer position at North American Sortation Center (NASC) focuses on developing innovative solutions for sortation and transportation systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
  • Experience working with and managing third-party vendors.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies.
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing and communicating with business partners.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and execute the vision and technical solutions.
  • Travel 50% of the time to visit sites and support projects.
