Job description

As an ASIC Design Engineer at Apple, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on transforming hardware technology. Your role will involve architecting solutions for power management within System on Chip (SoC) designs. You will collaborate with various specialists to ensure high-quality product integration and support front-end activities. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex logic designs that impact millions of customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Experience writing specifications and converting them to design.
  • Experience with multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of the chip development process with proficiency in front-end tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, CPU & IP integration, and power and clock management designs is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all internal groups.
  • Familiarity with software and operating concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, or TCL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help architect solutions for power management of the SoC.
  • Write microarchitecture and/or design specifications for power management and other SoC level IPs.
  • Design, implement, and debug complex logic designs.
  • Integrate complex IPs into the SOC.
  • Support all front-end integration activities like Lint, CDC, Synthesis, and ECO.
  • Work with other specialists that are members of the SOC Design, SOC Design Verification, Emulation, STA, and Physical Design teams.
  • Collaborate with software and systems teams to ensure a high-quality product.
