Job description

The Senior TPU Validation Engineer role at Google involves working within a team dedicated to the validation of custom silicon solutions, specifically focusing on Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) in mobile System on Chip (SoC) designs. This position requires expertise in machine learning accelerator architecture and mobile SoC architecture, contributing to the development of innovative hardware experiences. The engineer will play a crucial role in shaping the performance and efficiency of products used by millions globally. The position emphasizes collaboration with various teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience in SoC validation.
  • Experience with ML accelerator architecture.
  • Experience with Mobile SoC architecture including ARM processor, coherent fabric, and system memory management unit (SMMU).
  • Experience with test and verification framework development in C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team responsible for Silicon validation of TPU design in mobile SoC.
  • Develop a comprehensive verification framework.
  • Develop test plans and perform pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
  • Conduct power and performance measurements and correlate them with pre-silicon goals.
  • Work closely with Software, Architecture, Design, and Design Verification teams at different stages of product development.
