Job description
The RF/Microwave Researcher role at IBM Quantum focuses on developing advanced high-performance circuits and subsystems for quantum computing systems. The successful candidate will work on the design and system integration of microwave components, including amplifiers and isolators. This position requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and effective communication of technical ideas. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong writing and presentation skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field is required, with a doctorate preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of RF/microwave filter design, including notch filters and bandpass filters.
- Mastery of EM modeling and circuit design tools such as Keysight ADS and Ansys HFSS.
- Familiarity with various test equipment, including vector network analyzers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of novel superconducting qubit measurement systems.
- Collaborate effectively with both operational and technical personnel.
- Work independently and take initiative in project tasks.
- Communicate technical ideas clearly to team members and stakeholders.
