Job description

The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. This team focuses on creating innovative and scalable solutions for real-world data center infrastructure problems. Engineers will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to ensure high standards for safety and security while delivering cost-effective solutions. The role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on AWS services and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience in embedded development in C/C++
  • Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Server Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Software.
  • Engage in scripting language development.
  • Provide Data Center Operation Support.
  • Develop Linux drivers.
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers to create innovative solutions.
