The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. This team focuses on creating innovative, scalable solutions for real-world data center infrastructure problems. The role involves collaboration with world-class software developers and working on diverse technology domains, including embedded software and large-scale distributed systems. The position offers an opportunity to directly impact AWS's bottom line and contribute to the development of next-generation platforms.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and own server Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Software.
- Engage in scripting language development.
- Provide Data Center Operation Support.
- Develop Linux drivers.
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to build software for next-generation platforms.
- Participate in development efforts to build, validate, and support firmware.
