Job description
The Amazon Prime Air Team is looking for an experienced engineer to support the development and scaling of the electrical propulsion system for Prime Air Drones. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software interfaces, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. The engineer will also document workflows and collaborate with supply chain and external vendors to enhance production-level test systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis
- Experience managing lab resources, equipment, and supplies
- Experience in production or post production processes and facilities
- Experience with product level validation testing including Thermal, EMC/EMI, Shock, and Cycle Testing
- Experience testing hardware/mechanical sub-components and knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout best practices
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware and software interfaces
- Conduct root cause analysis on hardware failures across the electrical propulsion subsystem
- Provide corrective actions for identified issues
- Implement changes in production-level hardware and software
- Develop GUIs and workflows to streamline hardware defect tracking
