The Liaison Engineer role at Amazon's Prime Air team focuses on supporting manufacturing and assembly operations for drone production. • 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design and advanced assemblies
• Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
• Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
• Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with root cause analysis and manufacturing engineering

• Review and disposition non-conformance events related to drone hardware during procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and integration
• Serve as the first line of defense on the production floor, providing real-time engineering support to the Assembly and Test organization
• Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, and propose Design for Manufacturing improvements that improve quality and reduce cost
• Partner with Design Engineering teams to translate production findings into actionable design updates
• Conduct root cause investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Develop and maintain disposition templates and analysis methods to address common non-conformances efficiently
• Drive process updates and improvements to work instructions in collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality teams
