The Staff Research Data Scientist in AI Data Intelligence at Google will play a pivotal role in the AI revolution by focusing on Human Data Collection for Large Language Models (LLMs). This position involves collaborating with Research, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance the quality of data used in AI models. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to solve complex data science problems and improve the performance of Google's models. This role is essential for driving advancements in intelligent systems through high-quality data.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 6 years of experience with a PhD degree.
- 10 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 8 years of experience with a PhD degree.
Responsibilities
- Be a distinct contributor with a focus on Human Data Collection for Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Design and deploy novel data acquisition and quality improvement techniques for foundational models.
- Utilize AI models and tools to evaluate, synthesize, and understand complex datasets.
- Act as a critical technical partner, collaborating closely with Research, Engineering, and Product teams.
- Develop new methodologies to improve the performance of Google's models through better training data.
