The Safety Engineer is an entry-level position focused on supporting project teams in implementing safety plans and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. This role involves a mix of office work for documentation and fieldwork to develop foundational safety knowledge. The Safety Engineer will assist in safety inspections, orientations, and incident reporting while serving as a resource for craft workers and subcontractors. • Bachelor’s degree in safety, construction management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in construction safety preferred.
• Holds an OSHA 10 certification; OSHA 30 and STSC preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and construction processes.
• Familiarity with jobsite safety inspections and documentation processes.

• Lead project-level new hire safety orientations and assist with subcontractor orientation processes.
• Perform daily jobsite safety inspections and document findings.
• Support implementation of site-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Record and manage on-site safety paperwork, including logs and reports.
• Assist Safety Manager with injured workers and support return-to-work processes.
• Participate in incident and near miss reporting and support investigations.
• Assist with project-level substance abuse testing in accordance with company policy.
• Serve as a field safety resource to craft workers and project teams.
• Support documentation and administrative tasks related to safety compliance.
