Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join their Resilience Environment team in Hanover, MD. This role involves a mix of field and office work, with up to 80% of time spent in the field. Candidates will assist in environmental site characterization and remediation tasks while focusing on health and safety.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
• Master of Science degree in Geology or a closely related field is preferred.
• Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for the role.

• Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization and remediation tasks.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
• Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
• Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Coordinate tasks, compile and interpret data, and prepare cost estimates.
• Support Mid-Atlantic and National emergency response teams for unforeseen incidents.
