Job description
As a Linux Peripheral Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will focus on the design, development, and support of peripheral subsystems, particularly USB and low-speed interfaces like I2C and SPI. This role requires close collaboration with customers to translate their requirements into effective software solutions. You will engage in hands-on kernel and driver development, debugging, and optimization in Linux and Android environments. The position also involves troubleshooting complex issues and customizing Qualcomm software for various customer programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
- Proven experience as a Linux Kernel Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and build tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop peripheral subsystems on Qualcomm platforms.
- Analyze system-level use cases and translate requirements into software design.
- Engage in hands-on kernel and driver development in Linux and Android environments.
- Provide on-site customer support to validate and resolve peripheral-related issues.
- Customize and optimize Qualcomm software for customer programs.
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture, validation, and customer engineering teams.
