Job description

The Sr Staff Engineer Engineer, Verification (CI/CD & Embedded HW) at Qualcomm is a senior individual contributor focused on designing and scaling CI/CD infrastructure and verification systems for the AI Software stack. This technical role involves building automated pipelines, integrating embedded hardware for testing, and ensuring reliable validation at scale. The engineer will leverage their experience in managing large CI/CD pipelines to address software and hardware issues effectively. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align infrastructure capabilities with program milestones.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in CI/CD engineering, verification, embedded systems, or runtime/toolchain development.
  • Expertise designing and scaling CI/CD systems such as Buildkite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Deep experience integrating embedded hardware into automated pipelines.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, and C/C++.
  • Experience maintaining open-source verification pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and scale large-distributed CI/CD systems with high throughput and low flakiness.
  • Design automated workflows for build, package, deploy, and logging.
  • Develop scheduling and orchestration layers for thousands of hardware-based regression tests.
  • Implement monitoring and automated mitigation for CI stability.
  • Develop embedded target test frameworks across DSP/NPU.
