Job description

The Research Sr Associate is a seasoned professional responsible for delivering high-quality investment insights to credit investors globally. This role involves applying in-depth knowledge to improve processes and workflows while integrating subject matter expertise. The individual will evaluate complex issues and influence decisions through advice and counsel. The position also includes coaching new recruits and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of previous experience in research analysis
  • Series 86, 87, 63, and the SIE are necessary for this role, with 180 days to obtain them if not already held
  • MBA or graduate degree and/or CFA preferred
  • Commercial real estate industry experience is a plus
  • Good knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
  • Attention to detail
  • Secure and maintain applicable licenses
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality investment insights to credit investors with an emphasis on independence and objectivity
  • Produce regular written research and assist with the publication of earnings previews and initiation reports
  • Maintain and update existing company models and create new models
  • Assist with client inquiries and requests from both internal and external sources
  • Coordinate investor meetings and conference calls with consultants
  • Assess risk when making business decisions to safeguard the firm's reputation and assets
