Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Mask Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of silicon interposers for its products. This role involves collaboration with the Package Technical Lead and various design teams to address manufacturing and electrical design challenges. The engineer will leverage their expertise in layout design and Cadence tools to deliver innovative solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5+ years proven experience in Mask and Layout Design
- Deep understanding of layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies
- Expertise with Cadence layout tools, particularly Virtuoso
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Perl, Python, and Skill
- Knowledge of DRC and LVS checking flows and ability to customize decks
Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with package technical lead and technology engineers to deliver solutions for product packages
- Perform physical layout for silicon interposer using Cadence tools
- Conduct design feasibility studies to evaluate package design goals for size, cost, and system performance
- Study layout floorplan and perform custom layout and verification against design rules and netlists
- Propose layout design trade-offs to the Package Technical Lead for resolution and implementation
