Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate in Research to focus on U.S. Rates products in New York. The role involves generating trade ideas and providing market updates related to inflation and interest rates. The Associate will analyze economic data and monitor market behavior, working closely with clients and sales teams. Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study.
- Requires four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years as a Manager, Associate, or a closely related occupation.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with Python for quantitative modeling, automation, and production deployment.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with R studio for fetching markets data and modeling.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with qkdb+ for high frequency market data analysis.
- Requires four (4) years of experience in Probability and Statistics.
- Requires four (4) years of experience in Quantitative analysis.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with machine learning techniques for analyzing patterns in time series data.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with Excel for charting and data analysis.

Responsibilities
- Research U.S. Rates products and develop trade ideas and market color.
- Communicate with clients and sales teams, providing updates on inflation and rates markets.
- Address client inquiries regarding inflation and interest rate markets.
- Analyze long-term and short-term drivers for interest rates and inflation markets.
- Work on models for market scenarios based on economic data releases.
- Closely monitor US Treasuries and TIPS behavior around economic data releases.
