As a Software Development Engineer II on the Safety Firmware team at Amazon Robotics, you will play a crucial role in developing embedded safety systems for warehouse automation. You will collaborate with various engineering disciplines and explore EdgeAI on embedded systems while adhering to rigorous safety standards. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware
• Experience writing low level drivers
• Experience in embedded wireless systems
• Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing

• Design and implement embedded software components for safety-critical systems using C/C++/Rust.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware design, manufacturing, and software teams.
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide meaningful feedback during code reviews to improve software quality.
• Explore and implement new possibilities for EdgeAI on resource-constrained embedded systems.
