Job description

Join a multidisciplinary team within Amazon focused on developing advanced control systems for manipulation robots. This role involves building and optimizing real-time control algorithms and collaborating closely with roboticists and researchers. You will be responsible for driving system architecture choices that impact Amazon's warehouse robotics systems. The position offers an opportunity to work on innovative technologies at scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Expert level skills with C/C++
  • Experience building complex embedded systems
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Strong preference for experience implementing EtherCAT Main Device/subordinate device software stacks
  • Experience with troubleshooting/debugging complex embedded systems

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly reliable embedded control systems
  • Develop and optimize real-time control algorithms and validate designs through simulation and real-world testing
  • Partner with roboticists and researchers to implement novel capabilities
