As a Senior Manager for Test and Development at Rivian, you will lead a team responsible for full vehicle and sub-system development and validation testing. Your role will involve managing resources and schedules while ensuring alignment with various teams for optimal vehicle usage. You will also oversee the execution of testing protocols and documentation, focusing on continuous improvement through innovative tools and methodologies. This position requires a hands-on approach to engineering across multiple vehicle systems and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or similar engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of automotive prototype, vehicle integration, validation testing and/or development engineering experience.
• Hands-on engineering capability across multiple vehicle systems, electrical integration, prototype hardware, and software-enabled development work.
• Familiarity with Jira / Confluence workflows and documenting technical work clearly.

• Manage team workload, scheduling and budget, including resource allocations covering vehicles, staff, instrumentation, track scheduling and offsite logistics.
• Coordinate with facility and on-site staff to ensure available resources are aligned to team needs.
• Collaborate with Program, Fleet and domain teams to plan and optimize vehicle usage across limited assets.
• Supervise team planning, preparation, execution and documentation of specific portions of the vehicle and component DVP&R.
• Support asynchronous onsite and offsite test and validation activities, including field quality investigations and software quality testing.
• Develop and refine reporting and tracking tools to improve overall department and team efficiency.
• Create and modify documentation including test work instructions and summary reports from vehicle testing projects.
• Travel as needed to support prototype vehicles and remote validation events.
