The Engineering Analyst role on the YouTube Trust and Safety team focuses on identifying and mitigating abusive content and users across the platform. This team is dedicated to ensuring user safety and maintaining the integrity of Google products. Analysts will leverage data analysis and machine learning to develop strategies for abuse prevention. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement effective solutions at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends and generating summary statistics.
- 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Experience in SQL, such as SQL, MySQL, or MapReduce.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies and solutions to enforce YouTube policies at scale.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for effective abuse prevention and enforcement.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product, and policy to drive complex anti-abuse solutions.
- Provide incident response for abuse problems, analyzing root causes and defining mitigation steps.
- Design and refine prompts for large language models to improve their accuracy in identifying abusive content.
