Job description

The Apple Neural Engine Software team focuses on developing the compiler and runtime for machine learning accelerators on Apple Silicon. This team is committed to enabling real-time, low-power, and high-performance execution of deep learning workloads through hardware acceleration. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience with system software development
  • Experience with compiler development
  • Excellent programming skills in C, C++, or Python
  • Master's or PhD in computer science, machine learning, or a related field
  • Experience in low-level software architecture, modeling, or validation
  • Familiarity with AI networks such as CNN, transformer, and diffusion model architectures
  • Proficiency with profiling and optimizing complex software
  • Experience with SoC low-level software development, distributed computing, or hardware acceleration
  • Strong background in data science and statistical methods
  • Experience with MLIR
  • Experience with Swift
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize the compiler and runtime for machine learning accelerators
