Job description

As a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer, you will be crucial in safeguarding the firm's sensitive data. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of the DLP program, including developing detection rules and analyzing complex DLP events. You will also focus on automating workflows and case management using various security tools. Collaboration with data owners and compliance teams will be essential to translate regulatory requirements into technical rules.

Requirements

  • Proven experience handling data loss incidents and insider threat investigations.
  • Deep, hands-on administrative experience with Microsoft Purview, Zscaler, ServiceNow, and Proofpoint.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation and scripting.
  • Proficiency with regular expressions and custom dictionary creation.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise network routing and cloud access.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement DLP detection capabilities and policies.
  • Develop custom detection logic for internally developed systems.
  • Perform regular testing and validation of existing DLP controls.
  • Engineer automation workflows to assist DLP analysts.
  • Collaborate with data owners and compliance teams to enforce technical rules.
  • Evaluate and integrate additional DLP tools and participate in proof-of-concept trials.
