Job description
The Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern position at Jacobs focuses on supporting the delivery of innovative projects related to water and wastewater treatment. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and scientists, gaining valuable mentorship and hands-on experience. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems, or Chemical Engineering. The intern will contribute to projects that have a significant impact on local and global clients.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems or Chemical Engineering or another closely related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous intern experience with a consulting or engineering firm is preferred.
- Relevant coursework or projects related to water/wastewater engineering.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, storage, and water resources projects.
- Conduct field investigations, design, and studies for full-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Participate in the evaluation, design, and commissioning of water treatment facility pilots.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
