The Software Development Engineer position is part of the Amazon Route 53 Global Resolver team, which focuses on building and operating a globally distributed DNS resolution service. This role involves ensuring secure and reliable DNS query resolution for enterprise customers across various environments. The team values collaboration among software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver high standards of safety and security. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Build and operate a globally distributed DNS resolution service
• Ensure DNS queries are resolved securely and reliably for enterprise customers
• Drive system architecture and spearhead best practices for product quality
• Coach and develop junior engineers within the team
