Job description

The role focuses on providing high-level applications support for complex Overlay measurement systems within KLA's Global Products Group. The team collaborates closely with engineering, sales, and marketing, as well as customer engineers, to ensure effective tool demonstrations and customer engagement. This position involves characterizing next-generation overlay measurement products and developing software tools for data analysis. The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic engineering organization that emphasizes innovation and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a Doctorate or Master's degree in Physics or related engineering fields such as optics, materials science, or microelectronics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The candidate must be self-driven and independent while being a strong team player.
  • Proficiency in the English language and the ability to work effectively with different cultures is necessary.
  • Experience with Matlab or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with various organizations within KLA and with customer engineers to provide applications support for Overlay measurement systems.
  • Manage in-house customer demonstrations and head-to-head activities at customer sites.
  • Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase tool performance and develop use cases to drive tool sales.
  • Design experiments to characterize tool performance and demonstrate product value during testing phases.
  • Develop recipes to model complex optical applications and optimize tool performance.
  • Provide escalation support to onsite field service engineers and coordinate troubleshooting efforts.
  • Characterize next-generation overlay measurement products and design test plans.
  • Collect and analyze data, publishing results and recommendations.
  • Form training materials and transfer new production knowledge to the worldwide applications support team.
  • Collaborate with the system and algorithm team to develop offline software tools for data analysis.
