This role involves building a new backend platform within AWS that integrates database, authentication, and other services to enhance developer experience. The team focuses on creating a scalable, multi-tenant control plane and implementing managed relational database capabilities. Candidates will work with AI coding agents to streamline the development process and lead technical projects. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
- Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers
- 7+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design and build the scalable, multi-tenant control plane for backend resources
- Architect and implement managed relational database capabilities
- Build production-grade identity and access management services
- Define interactions between AI coding assistants and the platform
- Lead multi-engineer projects and drive design reviews
- Mentor engineers and influence the team's technical roadmap
