Job description

This role involves building a new backend platform within AWS that integrates database, authentication, and other services to enhance developer experience. The team focuses on creating a scalable, multi-tenant control plane and implementing managed relational database capabilities. Candidates will work with AI coding agents to streamline the development process and lead technical projects. Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
  • Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers
  • 7+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the scalable, multi-tenant control plane for backend resources
  • Architect and implement managed relational database capabilities
  • Build production-grade identity and access management services
  • Define interactions between AI coding assistants and the platform
  • Lead multi-engineer projects and drive design reviews
  • Mentor engineers and influence the team's technical roadmap
