The Senior Performance Engineer will lead the testing and optimization of advanced mechatronic automation systems, focusing on maximizing the capabilities of automation solutions through rigorous testing and statistical analysis. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers to ensure products exceed customer expectations. Requirements
- 5+ years of design and innovation, research and development work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
- Experience with management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
- Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, statistical analysis, and decision making
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies
- Experience with design-in-safety
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive experiments to validate machine performance
- Apply statistical methods to analyze test results and troubleshoot complex process issues
- Participate in technical reviews and influence automation architecture decisions
- Create structured test plans and conduct rigorous performance evaluations
- Identify system limitations and translate technical findings into actionable business insights
- Build self-service tools to streamline testing procedures and maintain documentation of testing protocols
