Job description

The Software Development Engineer II role focuses on designing and building systems for Amazon's Lists and Collaborative Shopping experiences. The team aims to enhance how customers curate and connect through lists by integrating generative AI into their core framework. This position offers end-to-end ownership, allowing engineers to tackle ambiguous problems and create scalable distributed systems. Collaboration with applied scientists, product managers, and designers is essential to deliver impactful customer-facing features.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities
