Job description

This role involves shaping the technical direction and architecture of Kiro Crew, an autonomous software development agent. You will work with a team of AI/ML practitioners and software engineers to address real-world development challenges and enhance product capabilities. The focus is on building reliable and scalable systems while maintaining AWS's high standards. This position offers immediate impact through feature development and opportunities for leadership from day one.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews

Responsibilities

  • Shape the technical direction and architecture of Kiro Crew.
  • Uncover real-world development challenges by working directly with customers.
  • Translate customer challenges into product capabilities while adhering to Amazon's customer-obsessed approach.
  • Build and operate production systems using industry-leading CI/CD practices.
  • Make architectural decisions that define how an autonomous agent learns and maintains context.
  • Develop features that transform how software is built.
  • Engage with the open-source community and ensure scalable deployment.
