Job description

This role is part of Intel's CPU development team, focusing on designing advanced core IP for cutting-edge compute processors in various fields including client, server, and AI. The team innovates microprocessor architecture with an emphasis on power efficiency and performance. As a member of this team, you will engage in the physical design implementation of custom CPU designs and collaborate closely with various engineering teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the synthesis of a digital logic block or partition.
  • 2+ years of experience with integrated circuit design tools including logic synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • Experience with chip physical design verification including formal equivalence and electrical rules.
  • Proficiency in TCL scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical design implementation of custom CPU designs from RTL to GDS.
  • Conduct all aspects of the CPU physical design flow including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • Conduct verification and signoff including formal equivalence verification and reliability verification.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations to improve current and future CPU microarchitectures.
  • Work closely with industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities for designing high-speed, low-power CPUs.
